Interactive rhythmic composition based on an MaxMsp Patch, which allows to play polyrhythmic structures. Back Beat was inspired by David Wessel’s “16th Beaters”.
Main features:
- probabitlity for each beat
- velocity for each beat
- probability linkage for small rhythmic patterns
- meter per track/phrase
With the old machines from 2003 it wasn’t possible to get a rhythmic stable playback – but it was fun, anyway.
